Pilot Schools: Thank You for Your Feedback
Thank you to the families who took a few minutes to complete our post‑fundraiser survey. Your honesty and thoughtfulness gave us a clear picture of what worked well and what we can improve. We’re grateful for your time, your candour, and your support as we piloted something new within the school community.
What We Heard
Families shared that they appreciated the idea behind Easy Peasy Tees, especially that it was local, thoughtfully put together, and made it easier to have shirts ready for awareness days. Many saw potential in having school‑specific or student‑designed shirts in the future.
At the same time, you were clear about what made participation challenging. Some families didn’t need all the tees in the bundle, and others found the cost too high for multiple children. A few weren’t aware of the fundraiser at all, and some wanted shirts that better matched the awareness days the school actually celebrates.
We also heard that running two fundraisers at the same time created confusion and made it harder for families to choose.
What We’ve Already Changed
Your feedback has directly shaped the next version of Easy Peasy Tees. Based on what you told us, we have already:
- Opened up full choice so families can select any tee and any size, no more pre‑set bundles unless you want them.
- Invited schools to choose the tees that best match their awareness days and values, so families only see items that are relevant.
- Launched a student Tee Design Contest, giving students a chance to create a shirt for the catalogue and receive copies to share.
- Reviewed our sustainability approach, keeping the Passing Forward Program (which keeps tees out of landfills) while continuing to monitor cost concerns.
- Started working with schools on timing, so tees arrive closer to the awareness days when they’re needed.
These changes came directly from your comments, and we’re committed to continuing to refine the program as we grow.
Looking Ahead
We were encouraged to see that 67% of families would be open to trying the fundraiser again in the Spring. If we move forward, our Officially Licensed Every Child Matters tees will arrive in September, in time for Truth and Reconciliation.
Our goal is to make Easy Peasy Tees a fundraiser that feels meaningful, flexible, and supportive for families, one that reflects the values of the school community and makes life a little easier, not harder.
Thank you again for your feedback, your honesty, and your willingness to try something new with us. We hope to have the opportunity to bring an improved version of Easy Peasy Tees back to the school community in the future.
