Tell me more
The Terry Fox Run is more than a school event, it’s a national tradition and a powerful tribute to one of Canada’s greatest heroes. In 1980, at just 22 years old, Terry Fox began his Marathon of Hope, running across Canada to raise money for cancer research, on one leg, after losing the other to cancer. Though he was forced to stop his journey after 143 days and 5,373 kilometers, Terry’s legacy continues to inspire millions.
Each year, students across the country run, walk, or roll in Terry’s name, learning about his courage, compassion, and unshakable determination. For many kids, it’s their first real encounter with the idea that one person, even someone young, can make a lasting difference.
Our Terry Fox t-shirts help kids feel like they’re part of something bigger, a national community that stands for hope, resilience, and action in the face of adversity. Wearing the shirt is a symbol of support for families affected by cancer and a reminder that research, fundraising, and awareness all play a role in the fight.

For Children & Families
The Terry Fox Run isn’t just a day on the school calendar, it’s a moment that stays with kids for life. It’s often their first encounter with the idea that courage can look quiet, determination can be contagious, and one person can spark a movement.
For children, Terry’s story is more than history, it’s a call to action. They learn that even in the face of hardship, hope is powerful. That resilience isn’t just about finishing the race, it’s about showing up, caring deeply, and doing what you can.
Families see their kids take part in something bigger than themselves. Whether they’re running, walking, rolling, or cheering from the sidelines, they’re joining a national tradition rooted in compassion, community, and the belief that every step counts.
Wearing a shirt inspired by Terry Fox becomes a badge of honour, a way for kids to say, “I believe in making a difference.” It’s a symbol of solidarity with families affected by cancer, and a reminder that research, fundraising, and awareness all start with people who care.
